Product information

Here you can find additional information about our products such as choice of materials, finishes, gems, pearls etc.

A piece of jewellery made by Rabinovich is a handmade quality product, which has been made in sterling silver. Product development, partial production as well as quality control are carried out by our passionate team in the goldsmith workshop at the head office in Aarhus, Denmark.

We use sterling silver in all our products which goes through various types of oxidisation process, often antique oxidation or black oxide. Our gold-plated jewellery is of a very high quality and gold-plated with 14 carat gold. Our rings are 3 micron gold-plated which increases the wearing surface significantly.

Our jewellery often contains various types of gemstones. At present we are primarily using smoky quartz, peridot, apatite, chalcedony, black garnet, haematite, moonstone, labradorite, prasiolite and crystal. The gemstones are cut and/or polished natural products which can vary in colour and clarity from gem to gem. In addition we use cubic zirconia (CZ) in many of our pieces of jewellery which is a very hard and synthetic stone with the look of a diamond.

The pearls in our jewellery are coloured freshwater pearls.

All our jewellery has the hallmark “925” as well as our maker’s mark of RAB. As a company we comply with all laws and guidelines for the sector and we are guided and inspected by Ædelmetalkontrollen (the Danish Assay Office).

Possible sizes

Our products are available in many different sizes, you can therefore be sure that your new piece of Rabinovich jewellery fits you perfectly. Rabinovich is only one of a few suppliers to offer rings in both odd and even sizes. Jewellery must be tried on in the shop as the final choice of size depends on the jewellery design.

Care of jewellery

A piece of Rabinovich jewellery is a very unique product of high quality which, if you look after it well, can last a lifetime. Your piece of jewellery will wear down and get a patina with normal usage.  You should also be aware that wear and tear and damage arising from incorrect use/rough treatment is not covered by the guarantee. In general jewellery should be treated gently, lovingly and with care. Therefore please read the following information about care of your jewellery:

Always take your jewellery off when you wash your hands, shower, exercise, work in the kitchen, do physical work and every night before you go to bed.

Avoid getting perfume, lotion or similar on your jewellery.
Cleaning jewellery which incorporates gems can be done by using a solution of mild liquid soap in a small amount of lukewarm water and then dried and buffed with a soft cloth – but once in a while it is recommended that the jewellery is cleaned ultrasonically. This can only be done by a professional goldsmith.

Pearls
Pearls are an organic material which easily ‘sticks’ to your skin! Therefore regularly use a soft cloth to remove remnants of sweat, lotion, soap or impurities. Pearls do not tolerate perfume, hairspray etc. and can in some cases be damaged by certain types of medicine which is secreted through the skin.

Gems
Use silver jewellery cleaner products/liquids and follow the care instructions with regard to cleaning your jewellery or ask your goldsmith. Gems such as opals, amber, corals, turquoises and emeralds are very fragile and must be handled gently. Avoid unnecessary knocks.

Silver
Silver jewellery can oxidise and acid from sweat, caused by certain types of medicine and during hot periods, can turn the jewellery black. Therefore regularly clean the jewellery and buff with an impregnated cleaning cloth.

Gold plating
Gold plating is a finish which over time wears off. All jewellery which has a finish must be worn with care in order to retain its lustre.
